TDI has posted notice of a filing by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) to update the Texas terrorism exception and premium algorithm in NCCI’s Basic Manual for Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance (Basic Manual). The filing removes the soon-to-be-outdated references to “terrorism value” and indicates that carriers must file terrorism rates with TDI in accordance with the Texas exception to Basic Manual Rule 3-A-24-c. It also replaces the term “terrorism value” with “terrorism rate” in the Texas Workers’ Compensation Premium Algorithm.
You may review a copy of NCCI’s filing in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the Texas Department of Insurance, 333 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas 78701; or at the link below. Written comments and hearing requests are due 30 days after the notice is posted on the TDI website.
