Some people who were infected by COVID-19 go on to have new or lingering symptoms—a condition known as long COVID. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is committed to supporting workers with long COVID and their employers. To gather ideas on how to address workplace challenges related to long COVID, DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, Employee Benefits Security Administration, Employment and Training Administration, and Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs, along with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Surgeon General, invite you to join a national online dialogue,
This virtual conversation will help DOL and its partners better understand workplace challenges and minimize the employment and financial struggles that can result from long COVID.
All ideas are welcome, but we are specifically looking for insight and shared experiences on:
- Challenges workers with long COVID face in the workplace;
- Ways employers can support their workers with long COVID;
- Effective practices to inform both workers and employers about long COVID;
- Organizations to engage in developing solutions for those affected by long COVID; and
- Methods to address obstacles faced by workers with long COVID when trying to obtain needed disability benefits.
