A few weeks ago we sent you a request from TDI asking for input from stakeholders on developing rules to implement HB 290 passed in the last legislative session. Here is another copy of that request.

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has amended and repealed rules in the Texas Administrative Code’s Licensing and Regulation of Insurance Professionals chapter.

The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) filed Item E-1410 Revisions to NCCI Manual Rules Related to the Inclusion of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Claims in Experience Rating and Merit Rating. The filing revises rules for reporting COVID-19 claims as an extraordinary loss event.

The Texas All-Payor Claims Database (APCD) will accept regular monthly claims data submissions beginning March 1 through March 7, 2023. Companies that are required to submit data must have a successful test submission completed by March 1, 2023.
