The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) amends and repeals rules in the Texas Administrative Code’s Licensing and Regulation of Insurance Professionals chapter. Amendments and repeals include:
- Removing:
- The subagent designation.
- References to life and health insurance counselor and insurance service representative licenses.
- The affidavit requirement for nonresident public insurance adjusters.
- The requirement to report and register each branch location.
- Discontinuing the registration for home office salaried employees.
- Increasing ethics continuing education requirements from two hours to three hours, as mandated by law.
- Changing the expiration date for a license issued to an individual.
- Updating obsolete statutory references, obsolete references to the State Board of Insurance, and obsolete addresses.
